Keeps

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026
Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Keeps handles information. It is written in plain English for App Store, Play Store, and in-app use. It is not legal advice; consider having it reviewed if you need formal compliance for your jurisdiction.

1. Introduction

Keeps is a personal product journal for iOS and Android. You can log, rate, photograph, and remember products you use. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use Keeps, how it is handled, and the choices you have.

We designed Keeps to keep your journal primarily on your device. We do not create user accounts, and we do not operate our own cloud sync of your journal content.

By using Keeps, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Our Terms of Use describe Keeps Plus purchases, subscriptions, and other rules for using the app.

Operator: Danny (“we,” “us,” or “our”)

2. Information We Collect

Information stored on your device

When you use Keeps, the following may be stored locally on your device:

  • Product entries (names, details, and related journal data)
  • Ratings
  • Categories and tags
  • Notes
  • Photos you take or choose for products
  • App settings and preferences related to your journal

If you choose to add photos, Keeps may request access to your device’s camera or photo library. That access is used only to let you capture or select images for your journal. Photos remain on your device unless you export or back them up yourself.

We do not operate a Keeps account system, so we do not collect a username, password, or email address for sign-in.

Purchase and entitlement information

If you buy a paid upgrade (Keeps Plus) — including an auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase — the purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and entitlement status may be managed through RevenueCat.

In connection with purchases, renewals, cancellations, and restoring purchases, Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat may process device and purchase identifiers as needed to verify and restore your entitlement. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Information you send us directly

If you contact support (for example, by emailing my.keeps.app@gmail.com), we receive whatever information you include in that message (such as your email address and the content of your request).

What we do not collect

Based on current practices:

  • We do not create user accounts or require login.
  • We do not operate our own cloud sync of journal content, and we do not collect your product journal from your device for our own servers.
  • We do not use crash-reporting or analytics SDKs in the app.
  • We do not send push notifications.
  • We do not share your data with AI vendors.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not show third-party ads in the app.

3. How We Use Information

We use information as follows:

  • On-device journal data and photos: to provide Keeps’ core features—logging, rating, organizing, viewing, exporting/backing up, and deleting your entries—on your device.
  • Purchase / entitlement data (via Apple, Google, and RevenueCat): to process, verify, restore, and (where applicable) renew paid upgrades you purchase.
  • Support communications: to respond to your questions and help resolve issues.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your journal content for advertising. We do not show third-party ads in the app.

4. How We Store & Secure Data

  • Your product journal data and photos are stored primarily on your device.
  • Because this data lives on your device, access to it depends on your device security (such as device passcode, biometrics, and OS protections).
  • We do not operate our own cloud sync of journal content. If you use any device-level backup features provided by Apple or Google (for example, iCloud or Google backup of device data), those are governed by Apple’s or Google’s policies—not by a Keeps-operated sync service.

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device updated and protected.

5. Third-Party Services

Keeps may rely on the following third parties in connection with distribution and purchases:

  • Apple App Store — app distribution and in-app purchase processing on iOS
  • Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchase processing on Android
  • RevenueCat — purchase and entitlement management (including restoring purchases)

These providers process information under their own privacy policies. We do not control Apple’s, Google’s, or RevenueCat’s systems. We do not receive full payment card details from these services.

6. Purchases

Paid upgrades (for example, Keeps Plus) are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and may be managed via RevenueCat. Current Keeps Plus purchase options may include:

  • Keeps Plus Monthly — an auto-renewable monthly subscription
  • Keeps Plus Yearly — an auto-renewable yearly subscription
  • Keeps Plus Lifetime — a one-time, non-consumable purchase

Not every option is necessarily offered on every platform or at all times. The options, pricing, and billing period shown to you before you confirm a purchase are the ones that apply to that purchase.

  • Payment is handled by Apple or Google.
  • Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled according to the applicable store’s rules. Deleting the Keeps app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Entitlement status may be checked or restored using identifiers those platforms and RevenueCat provide for that purpose.
  • We do not store or receive your full payment card number.

For billing questions, refunds, cancellation, or purchase management, use the tools provided by Apple or Google for your account, or contact us at my.keeps.app@gmail.com and we will point you in the right direction where we can. Full purchase terms are in our Terms of Use.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Journal data and photos remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app (subject to any backups your device or OS creates).
  • In Settings, you can export/back up your data and delete all local data.
  • Uninstalling Keeps typically removes the app’s local data from that device, unless retained in an OS or device backup you control.
  • Support emails we receive are retained only as long as needed to handle your request and any related follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Purchase/entitlement records may be retained by Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat as needed to provide purchase history and restore entitlements, according to their practices.

8. Children’s Privacy

Keeps is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information (for example, via a support email), contact us at my.keeps.app@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information. Because most Keeps journal data stays on your device, many controls are available directly in the app and on your device:

  • View, edit, and delete your journal entries and photos in the app
  • Export or back up your data from Settings
  • Delete all local data from Settings
  • Uninstall the app
  • Manage, cancel, or restore purchases through Apple or Google (including subscription settings in your App Store or Google Play account)
  • Contact us at my.keeps.app@gmail.com to ask questions about this policy or request help with information you sent us (such as support emails)

If applicable law gives you additional rights (access, deletion, correction, etc.) regarding information we hold (for example, support correspondence), email us and we will respond as required.

We do not sell personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and post the updated policy on this page. If changes are material, we may also provide notice in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of Keeps after an update means you accept the revised policy.
