Keeps
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use explain how you may use Keeps, including optional Keeps Plus purchases. They are written in plain English for App Store, Play Store, in-app, and website use. They are not legal advice; consider having them reviewed if you need formal compliance for your jurisdiction.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Keeps mobile app and this website (together, “Keeps”). By downloading, installing, or using Keeps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Keeps.
Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled. If you use the iOS version of Keeps, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement may also apply.

1. Acceptance of Terms
You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your location to use Keeps. If you use Keeps on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
Keeps is intended for personal, non-commercial use as a product journal. Additional store terms may apply when you download Keeps or make a purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
2. About Keeps
Keeps is a personal product journal for iOS and Android. It is designed primarily as an offline-first, on-device app. You can save and remember products you have tried, including by adding details such as:
- Product names and related details
- Photos
- Ratings and verdicts
- Notes
- Categories and tags
- Search and filtering across your personal shelf
- Shelf insights, where available
- Backup and export tools, where available
We do not create user accounts, and we do not operate our own cloud sync of your journal. Your shelf is stored primarily on your device unless you export or back it up yourself, or unless your device or operating system creates its own backups.
3. Keeps Plus
Keeps may offer both free features and optional paid features through Keeps Plus. Keeps Plus currently includes, or may include, premium functionality such as:
- Unlimited product photos
- Unlimited custom categories
- Backup and export
- Shelf Insights
- Additional premium functionality added over time
The specific Keeps Plus features available to you are shown in the app at the time of use or purchase. We may improve, add, or change premium functionality over time. We do not guarantee that any individual feature will remain available forever, but we will make reasonable efforts not to remove already-paid access arbitrarily.
Current Keeps Plus purchase options may include:
- Keeps Plus Monthly — an auto-renewable monthly subscription
- Keeps Plus Yearly — an auto-renewable yearly subscription
- Keeps Plus Lifetime — a one-time, non-consumable purchase
Not every option is necessarily offered on every platform or at all times. The options, pricing, and billing period shown to you before you confirm a purchase are the ones that apply to that purchase. Prices may vary by country, currency, taxes, platform, storefront, or later changes.
4. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
Keeps Plus Monthly and Keeps Plus Yearly are auto-renewable subscriptions.
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account, depending on the platform you use.
- Your subscription automatically renews for the same billing period (monthly or yearly, as applicable) unless you cancel according to the applicable store’s cancellation rules.
- Subscription pricing and the billing period are displayed before you purchase. Taxes and regional pricing may apply.
- Access to Keeps Plus subscription features generally continues through the paid subscription period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple App Store account settings or Google Play account settings, as applicable.
- Deleting the Keeps app does not automatically cancel a subscription. Cancel through the store account that processed the purchase.
We cannot directly cancel an Apple or Google subscription on your behalf. Cancellation, renewal timing, and related billing rules are controlled by Apple or Google.
5. Lifetime Purchase
Keeps Plus Lifetime is a one-time purchase. It unlocks eligible Keeps Plus functionality without a recurring subscription payment.
The purchase is associated with the Apple or Google account used to buy it. If you reinstall Keeps or move to another eligible device, you may need to use Restore Purchases while signed into that same account.
“Lifetime” refers to continued access to the applicable Keeps Plus license for as long as we reasonably continue to offer Keeps and that license remains valid. It is not a promise that the software, this website, Apple, Google, your operating system, every device, or every individual feature will exist forever. If we make material changes that affect paid access, we will try to do so reasonably and in good faith.
6. Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by Keeps directly. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Refund requests and billing disputes for purchases processed by Apple or Google are generally handled under that store’s policies. You can request help through Apple or Google, or email us at my.keeps.app@gmail.com and we will point you in the right direction where we can.
Canceling a subscription typically stops future renewals. It does not usually end access immediately if time remains in the current paid period; the applicable store’s rules control that timing. Lifetime purchases do not auto-renew and are not canceled through subscription settings.
7. Restore Purchases
Eligible Keeps Plus purchases may be restored using Restore Purchases in the app. Restoration depends on your being signed into the Apple or Google account originally used for the purchase, and on Apple, Google, and (where used) RevenueCat being able to verify that entitlement.
Restore Purchases cannot move a purchase to a different store account. If restoration does not work as expected, contact us at my.keeps.app@gmail.com with the platform you used and we will try to help.
8. User Content
You may add your own content to Keeps, such as product photos, notes, product names, categories, tags, and other personal journal information (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content. Because Keeps is designed as an on-device, offline-first journal, we do not claim ownership of that content and we do not take a broad license to use it for advertising, training, or unrelated commercial purposes.
You are responsible for User Content you add, including having the rights needed to use any names, photos, or other material you include. Do not add content you do not have the right to use.
9. Backups and Data
Your journal is stored primarily on your device. Mobile devices can fail, be lost, stolen, reset, replaced, or become unsupported. We do not operate a Keeps cloud copy of your shelf.
You should keep backups of information you consider important. Keeps may provide export or backup tools, but you remain responsible for maintaining copies of important information. Device-level backups (for example, iCloud or Google backup of device data) are provided by Apple or Google under their own terms, not as a Keeps-operated sync service.
10. Acceptable Use
When using Keeps, you agree not to:
- Use the app in a way that violates applicable law
- Attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt Keeps beyond any rights granted by applicable law
- Use Keeps to infringe intellectual property or other legal rights
- Abuse or disrupt any network, purchase, or entitlement systems Keeps relies on, if you encounter them
These limits are meant to keep a small consumer app usable and lawful. They do not take away rights you already have under applicable law.
11. Intellectual Property
The Keeps name, branding, app software, design, original graphics, and other developer-created content remain the property of the Keeps developer or the applicable rights holder. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Keeps to you. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Keeps for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and the applicable store’s terms.
You retain your User Content, as described above.
12. Third-Party Services
Keeps may depend on third-party services and platforms, including:
- Apple App Store — distribution and in-app purchases on iOS
- Google Play — distribution and in-app purchases on Android
- RevenueCat — purchase and entitlement management, including restoring purchases
Your use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies. We do not control Apple’s, Google’s, or RevenueCat’s systems.
13. Availability and Changes to the App
We may change, improve, introduce, or remove features over time. Certain functionality may require a compatible device or a supported operating system version.
If you have paid for Keeps Plus, we will make reasonable efforts not to take away that paid access arbitrarily. Changes may still be needed for security, legal, platform, or maintenance reasons, or because a feature can no longer be supported. We will try to handle material changes fairly.
14. Disclaimers
Keeps is a personal organizational and product-journaling tool. It does not provide professional, medical, dermatological, financial, or other professional advice. Information you store in Keeps is for your own reference and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Keeps is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Keeps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or operating system version.
Some places do not allow certain warranty disclaimers. If those rules apply to you, some of the above may not apply, and you may have additional rights.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising out of your use of Keeps.
Our total liability for claims relating to Keeps will not exceed the amount you paid for Keeps Plus, if any. This limit does not apply where liability cannot be limited, including (where such exclusions are not allowed) liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. If those rules apply to you, some of the above may not apply, and you may have additional rights.
16. Termination
You may stop using Keeps at any time, including by deleting the app. Deleting the app does not cancel an active Apple or Google subscription.
We may restrict or discontinue your access to Keeps if you seriously violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law or a platform provider. Purchases processed by Apple or Google remain subject to those stores’ records and policies. We cannot unilaterally erase your Apple or Google purchase history.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Terms on this page. If changes are material, we may also provide notice in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of Keeps after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using Keeps.
